Even though I was born (and adopted) in Chicago, I grew up in Arlington. I graduated from Lamar High School and went to the University of Texas at Austin (Hook 'em Horns!), where I got my degree in writing. I'm currently in my 5th year of teaching. I have experience teaching 1st and 2nd grades, but I absolutely love 4th grade. My husband, daughter and I (and our Pug) live in Fort Worth and love watching Longhorn football!
